It's time.

Our stereo amplifier projects are moving from cardboard mockup to computer based drawings to wood — cut on the incredible water-jet cutter at Atec Engineering.  It's very exciting.

We're starting to progress our designs for speaker enclosures from drawings to cardboard mockups.  They'll help us to see how it will really look and troubleshoot any problems before we commit to cutting wood with Atec Engineering's water-jet cutter.

Hard at work on our speaker enclosures.  Everyone was wowed by the demonstration of how much difference a well designed enclosure can make to the quality of sound coming from our little speakers.  Bass Ports for all!

In working through the basics principles of speaker design we have discussed the design mantra "function over form" — meaning 'what it does is more important than what it looks like'.  It was easy for all of the makers to understand that if it looks amazing but sounds rubbish; it's rubbish.
