Maker School: Tuesdays - week 3

Soldering and drilling — with a first-time introduction for all to Heatshrink!!  Brilliant stuff.

What to do with the kids (or yourself) this Easter Holiday.

Get creative with found material - either in situ or at home.

Outdoors

Easter Egg Hunt — get creative, leave a trail of clues to the stash.  If you're feeling adventurous older kids would enjoy a treasure hunt that involves SatNav!

Hit the beach…

• Make a sand sculpture or sand picture
• Collect shells
• Go rock pooling 
• Fly a kite - should be nice and windy this weekend!

(Pick somewhere out of the wind — it's going to be nippy!  Check the weather here.)

Get gardening — what to plant in April

Make…

• Make sculptures with natural materials 
• Model aeroplanes
• A Go-Kart — get bits from the scrap yard

Wet weather

Easter Egg Hunt — a trail of clues indoors of course!

Dress up / perform a play

Board games — pick any favourite or have the kids create their own.

Make…

• Egg decorating
• A stop motion animation using a webcam.
• Sew something — a hedgehog cushion or a squirrel from an old glove
• Paper aeroplanes

Movies on TV — maybe as a cosy family wind-down after a busy day or just a treat.
